Please notice that “Le Fontacce” offers mini-apartments, not only bedrooms. Our customers have free use of the swimming pool and all services are included.
"Le Fontacce" is in the Orvieto area in Umbria, near the border with Tuscany and Latium. The owners, Valentina and Giulia Zirilli, have recently restored their family country house and its vineyard.
From the farmhouse "Le Fontacce" you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic overview on the cuntryside and a rural and relaxing environment, while you can easily reach important historic towns and villages, and admire their beautuful cultural and artistic monuments and architecture.
"Le Fontacce" also lies at the center of the thermal triangle among Acquapendente, Allerona and San Casciano.
The farmhouse extends for nearly 10 hectares with vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees. There are well-marked paths for walking and cycling.
In the middle of the estate you can find the source of water which gives its name to the farmhouse and a secular oak to relax in summer evenings, an ideal place for romantic walks. The owners can also organize excursions and trekking trails in the nearby park of Villalba and guided tours of the to the unique town of Orvieto.
In "Le Fontacce" we offer three comfortable mini-apartments, with or without private bathrooms. Each apartment has its own entrance.
The house can accommodate up to 10 people.
Our guests can share a large bright kitchen and a wide living room. Both the mini-apartments for rent and the owners' one are decorated with paintings by Fabio Mazzieri, the important Sienese artist who painted the "Drappellone" for the Palio of Siena in 1987 and several international works. Le Fontacce bears the mark of his personal artistic touch in a country which prides itself on welcoming guests, in an atmosphere where art and nature combine to provide a unique experience.
We have a special agreement with the local restaurant "Il Povecchio" in Allerona, a lovely village less than a mile away, where you can taste our delicacies from Umbria, especially mushrooms and wild boar.
